Get into the groove! Get your musical
group tuned up and start composing! Create an original prize winning
song about the oceans and be featured at QuikSCience events and on the
web! The USC Wrigley Institute and Quiksilver. have created an
exciting new activity in science education. The Music Challenge seeks
young people to compose ocean-inspired music for the QuikSCience
Challenge. Help us promote ocean understanding and appreciation through
music!
All middle and high school students enrolled in Southern California are eligible to enter. A team can consist of one to six students. Each song must be between 2-5 minutes in length and must be an original piece of work. Winning Teams will receive a $500 cash prize for each category: Best Song with Lyrics and Best Instrumental Piece. Songs entered into The Music Competition may be used for promotion and will become the property of the USC Wrigley Institute and QuikSilver, Inc. Look for details on the QuikSCience website.
