3. What results has the Quiksilver Foundation achieved to date?
The Quiksilver Foundation has achieved a great deal since it was formed one and half years ago, a lot of our success is based on the strong relationships that we have formed with numerous non-profit organizations.

The Nias Fund was formed after the devastating Tsunami in South-East Asia and Quiksilver in America, Australia and Europe all made large contributions to this fund along with huge amount of public support. Through non-profit agencies like SurfAid International and CARE we were able to make sure the money we raised and contributed went to those that needed it most.

The Quiksilver Foundation with the generosity of transport companies also came to the aid of those left homeless by Hurricane Katrina. With free shipping to the hurricane affected areas, the Foundation moved millions of dollars worth of Quiksilver donated product to those left devastated by the disaster.

We continued our successful QuikSCience program in conjunction with the Wrigley Ocean Institute and USC to promote science education in Southern Californian schools. The winning school groups enjoyed a week in Mexico with our surf exploration and research boat the Indies Trader as part of the Crossing Adventure.

We had great results raising money in globally with Keep A Breast for Breast Cancer Research, thus supporting non-profit organizations in their search to find a cure for this terrible disease.

We enjoyed a lot of support from Quiksilver employees who donated their time to walk or run for many local charities such as The Children’s Hospital of Orange County and The Susan G Komen Race for the Cure for Breast Cancer. <Back to top>
